Join the Restoring Lands restoration team for a prairie planting at Turtle Park! We’ll be planting 1,000 herbaceous native plant plugs in the prairie. This planting is meant to enhance the habitat to attract more pollinators. Turtle Park is the southern entrance to the Milwaukee River Greenway, where so many wildlife species are able to thrive in an urban environment due to all the green space and water access. We want to increase biodiversity and beautify the prairie with more natural color all year round.
There will be a mid-day break for lunch. Please bring your own food and water bottle. Tools provided, volunteer waiver required. Contact info@restoringlands.org with questions.
