Just two miles west of Cedarburg Bog State Natural Area in the Town of Saukville, Center Lane Preserve is part of a large wetland complex containing mixed hardwood and conifer swamp. You’ll find yourself walking alongside a few farm fields to access the preserve’s natural communities. Most of the preserve is designated as a Natural Area of Regional Significance and Critical Species Habitat. The preservation of this area significantly protects water quality within the Milwaukee River watershed. There are currently no maintained trails on this preserve. Please be respectful of the sensitive plant and animal communities that thrive here and tread lightly. Also be aware of preserve boundaries, as there are many acres of privately owned, and publicly inaccessible, land surrounding the preserve.

To visit, park along Center Lane Rd. and access through the short gravel driveway. Please do not park in the driveway, as staff may need to use it to access the preserve.
