Located in the Town of Saukville, WI, Shannon Preserve is 34 acres. This preserve contains a variety of wetland habitats including cattail marsh, shrub-carr, lowland hardwood forest, fresh (wet) meadows, upland meadows, and agriculture fields. There is an unnamed creek on the property that connects the wetland to a lake in the Cedarburg Bog State Natural Area and an overlook facing Gough Lake with beautiful views. A short 0.18-mile trail leads you to the wetland.
There is NO HUNTING allowed at this preserve. To respect and protect the sensitive plant and animal communities that thrive here, please keep dogs on leash at all times.
To visit, park in the pulloff along Hwy 33.
