Located in the Town of Wayne in the Upper Rock River Watershed, Wendt Farm is a 45-acre preserve. Most of the preserve lies east of St. Killian Heights Road and contains tamarack swamp, shrub carr, sedge meadow, cattail marsh, and a steeply sloped glacial hill that was been planted to prairie. Wetland restoration completed in the early 2000’s has improved the site’s hydrology. An unnamed stream flows through this property, draining into Lomira Creek in the south.
There are no trailson this preserve. Please be mindful of the sensitive plant and animal communities that thrive here and keep dogs on leash.
Wendt Preserve is a MANAGED ACCESS hunting site. Please see Hunting Page for details.
