Located in the Town of Erin, the Zinn Preserve is 187 acres in the Mid-Kettle Moraine region. The preserve is part of an extensive wetland complex that includes a series of hardwater seepage lakes. A quarter-mile trail allows access to Beck Lake from the parking area. No other official trails exist within the preserve. Plant communities include sedge meadow, shrub-carr, lowland hardwoods, marsh, and tamarack swamp. Put a fall visit on your bucket list as the tamaracks surrounding the lake turn a golden yellow!
This protected property lies between the northern and southern units of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, an area known throughout the Midwest for its unique glacial features. To respect and protect the sensitive plant and animal communities that thrive here, please keep dogs on leash at all times.
There is NO HUNTING allowed at this preserve.
There is a short driveway off of Dublin Dr. for parking.
